Testosterone cream is one of many topical testosterone products to help increase testosterone levels. The safe, yet extremely potent, testosterone gel is absorbed through the skin directly into the blood stream using “”Time Released Liposome Transdermal Delivery System”" technology to boost testosterone levels for hours longer than many prescription drugs. It does not contain caffeine, and many testosterone creams are available without a prescription.

Testosterone therapy using cream is a mixed bag. Though very effective as a form of testosterone replacement, there are possible testosterone cream negative side effects. Other remedies exist such as patches, injections, oral androgens, and the implantation of time release pellets under the skin that might serve better.

The testosterone treatment known as the cream which you simply rub into certain areas of your body and is then absorbed through the skin. There are various forms of testosterone cream on the market, some of which require a prescription and some of which don’t.

Topical transdermal testosterone gels (AndroGel®/Testogel®, Testim® 1% testosterone gels) and testosterone creams (Andromen®/Andromen® Forte 2% & 5% Testosterone Cream) require daily application, and provide physiological replacement with few problems and satisfactory efficacy. Well designed studies show the efficacy and safety of this mode of administration to be high when given for an average of 36 months follow-up. Gels and creams have to a large extent replaced the previously mentioned forms of testosterone due to their patient friendly mode of application and flexibility with regards to dose.
